One of the most unwelcome dwellers in any homes is Bed Bugs.
Once they settled in, you will find it tough to get rid of them. Because they multiply rapidly yet rely very little to survive. In fact, bed bugs can live without food for more than 1 year! Horrifying, isn’t it?
Bed bugs live in any part of the home – from tiny cracks in furniture to textiles and upholstered furniture. They tend to prefer beds, comforters, mattresses, box springs, and bed frames. Generally, they are attracted by the body warm and carbon dioxide of humans when they rest in bed at night. Once the humans are sound asleep, it’s play-and-bite time for them. If you woke up with a line of red and itchy bumps on your skin, you were been attacked while asleep.
Getting rid of bed bugs is definitely NOT an easy process. You can wash your linens and all that stuff in hot water but they will return to dwell again. You can spray insecticides but once the poison is gone, the bed bugs surface to hunt yet again. It can be very tiring to eliminate them. That’s why many people called the bug-busters. The pest-control expert may recommend certain forms of deep-cleaning such as scrubbing infested surfaces with a stiff brush to remove eggs, dismantling bed frames and furniture, filling cracks in floors, walls, and moldings, encasing mattresses within special bags, or using a powerful vacuum on cracks and crevices. You can only cross your fingers that the pest expert got rid of all of them at one go. It only needs a surviving couple to bring back an entire colony!
I know it because I’m fighting an ongoing issue for many years and that’s despite keeping the house as spic an span as I can. Don’t be deceived by those who said bed bugs only live in dirty place.
