Mango peels for eczema: This is something I heard from my Indian friend. I asked if it is one of the famous Ayurvedic treatments but she wasn’t sure. She said it was passed down from her maternal grandmother who swore by mango peels being an effective home remedy.
According to the old lady, you are to
Peel off the mango skin, and boil the pulp in water. Allow it to cool and apply this paste over the infected area for 10-15 days.
Limited research exists on the use of mango peels as a treatment for eczema, and no scientific evidence supports its effectiveness. Although mango peels possess antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, they have yet to undergo testing and receive approval as a treatment for eczema. Healthcare professional may recommend over-the-counter and prescription medications, lifestyle changes, and other treatments to manage eczema symptoms.
